Modern kids clothing store interior design project — a full-store renovation for a children’s fashion brand expanding to a 1,000 sq ft retail location.
Project Scope
BDF Display was commissioned to design and manufacture all interior fixtures for this modern children’s clothing store. The brief called for a clean Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic with warm wood tones, soft pastel accents, and fixtures designed specifically for children’s product sizes.
Fixture Design
- Hanging racks: Adjusted to 48″ height — child-accessible but parent-friendly
- Wall shelving: Floating oak shelves with pastel-painted backing panels
- Display tables: Low-profile rounded tables (no sharp corners)
- Checkout: Dual-height counter — lower section for children, standard section for adults
- Play area: 80 sq ft soft-play zone with cushioned seating for parents
Material Choices
- Fixtures: Birch plywood with non-toxic matte lacquer
- Flooring: Soft cork in play zone, durable LVT in shopping aisles
- Lighting: Tunable LED (warm for cozy feel, neutral for accurate color viewing)
